10:20. Check of effort of resistance to sliding of a lath of the steering mechanism


  1. Bring forward wheels of the car into rectilinear situation. Check the level of hydraulic liquid in the tank of the steering pump, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see the Head Routine maintenance).
  2. Make sure of absence in a path of air traffic jams, in case of need pump over system (see Pumping of a hydraulic path of the steering drive).
  3. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props (see the illustration Scheme of an Institution of Props for fixing of the car in the lifted situation).
  4. Disconnect tips of steering drafts from rotary fists.
  5. Disconnect the lower hinge of a shaft of a steering column from a shaft of the leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism.
  6. Start the engine and let's it work on single turns for warming up of the GUR hydraulic liquid up to the temperature about 60 — 80 °C.
  7. Hook on a steelyard for a tip of one of steering drafts.
  8. Make sure that the steering mechanism is in the central situation and, having pulled for a steelyard, slowly extend draft on distance of 11.11 mm with  a speed about 3.17 mm / page. Consider the maximum indication recorded by a steelyard.
  9. If the result exceeds the limit of admissible range (see Specifications), make adjustment of torque of rotation of the steering mechanism (see Adjustment of torque of a provorachivaniye of the leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism).
  10. If adjustment of torque does not lead to correction of a situation, replace the steering mechanism.
